This shift away from linear TV viewing onto digital platforms is forcing traditional broadcasters to rethink how they categorise themselves, but with consumers’ appetites for quality content remaining strong, broadcasters are in a strong position to capitalise says Liberum analyst Ian Whittaker. In this interview, Whittaker discusses which European broadcasters are getting their strategies right, and also gives his thoughts on Apple’s strategy with the announcement of its upcoming subscription streaming service.
