One of the more interesting ad tech startups to have emerged in Europe in recent times is Zeotap, a Berlin-based company focusing on bringing telco data to market in a privacy-compliant way. Since the company started out, they have also started to incorporate other datasets from “a leading security company” and “a top navigation services provider”. Earlier this year the company announced they raised €12 million in Series B funding. Here Daniel Heer, Zeotap’s CEO, explains how the company tackled the challenge of on-boarding telco data, privacy and — most importantly — whether the data actually delivers results.
