Former Guardian Revenue Director Tim Gentry to Join Videology


Tim GentryVideology have announced that Time Gentry, the Guardian’s former Global Revenue Director, is to come on board as Senior Vice President, Advertiser and Agency, EMEA. Tim Gentry has been one of the  industry’s most high profile sell-side figures and left The Guardian – where he had worked since 2003 – in October of last year. During his time there Gentry oversaw a number of major transformations. The Guardian has consistently been one of leading innovators in digital publishing and monetisation, even if those attempts haven’t always been enough to stem the losses incurred via the paper’s declining print revenues.

During his time there Gentry oversaw including the merger of print and digital sales; the creation of what they claimed was the world’s first publisher-side programmatic sales team; the development of cross-platform digital solutions; and the creation of The Pangaea Alliance. Most recently, he was Global Revenue Director, responsible for digital advertising and agency relationships globally. At Videology he will report to Jana Eisenstein,EMEA Managing Director, where he will lead a team of over 40 people across the region.

Based in London, Gentry will be part of Videology’s EMEA leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing Videology’s existing agency and advertiser clients across Europe, while also extending the Videology footprint and onboarding new clients.
