Ad of the Week: Marmite, ‘Neglect’, adam&eveDDB

Self-deprecation is a risk few brands are willing to take, yet it consistently works well for Unilever’s Marmite. Even if you hate the product, it’s hard to not like the brand. In this ad, adam&eveDDB have played on the fact that Marmite is a product that people buy but then don’t actually use (quite possibly because even people who claim to like it know deep down it tastes like salty rat vomit).
